Maniti Camp Expeditions is operated by two friends, Guido and Enrique. They are based out of Iquitos, an island along the Peruvian Amazon. Guests of Maniti are greeted at the airport by Guido or one of his equally fluent English speaking associates and taken to their hotel of choice. If guests wish, Guido can assist with hotel/hostel accommodations.
Using a combination of motorized buggies, cars, speed boats and/or ferries (we returned to Iquitos on the local ferry. It was amazing: three levels and 300 – 500 people, chickens, minnows and at least one pig that I know of with hammocks slung everywhere), guests are taken to a remote jungle village where they live with Enrique and his family.
