We are not just a group of jungle guides in Iquitos, we are a passionate team of outdoorsmen and nature enthusiasts who are dedicated to sharing the history, culture & wildlife of the Amazon Rainforest through all aspects of sustainable tourism.

All of Maniti Expeditions’ Iquitos jungle tour guides are local people who were born and raised in the Peruvian rainforest in and around Iquitos, all with extensive knowledge of the ecology, history and culture of the Amazon rainforest. Our Iquitos rainforest guides have an average of 20 years of experience working in tourism in this region of the Amazon Rainforest.

All of Maniti Expeditions’ rainforest jungle guides are licensed with the Peruvian Association of Official Tour Guides and recognized by Peruvian Ministry of Tourism.

Rick is responsible for all aspects of marketing and new business development. Guido’s experience and knowledge has allowed our team to develop unique and new itineraries that are not offered by any other agency in the area. Guido is responsible for logistics of all tours. AsuncionPerezCobosAsuncion Perez Cobos – Lead Tour Guide (Lower Zone): Born in the village of Yanamono located off the Rio Napo, “Ashuko” has over 30 years of experience working as a guide in this region of the Amazon. Ashuko’s, formerly a botanist, has a passion for plant life and a great desire to share his knowledge with all of his clients! MiguelManihuariAhuanariMiguel Manihuari Ahuanari – Head Tour Guide: Born in the village of La Libertad located off on the doorstep of the Pacaya Samiria Reserve, Miguel has over 20 years of experience working as a guide, mainly working in the zone of the Pacyaya Samiria Reserve. Miguels deep knowledge of the area allows him to share untouched areas of the rainforests that others would not know exist. Migual is an expert survivalist and has a passion for sport fishing.
