DAY 1: CITY TOUR / IIAP / QUISTOCOCHA / MANITI LODGE :

Iquitos City Tour - We will visit the cathedral of Iquitos in the Plaza De Armas. We will go on a scenic walk alongside the Amazon River down the Tarapaca River Walk. On this river walk there are numerous shops where you can buy crafts and souvenirs. Visit the floating market of Belén, located on the edge of the Itaya River. On the outskirts of the market we will visit the largest aquatic plant in the world (Victoria Regia).

IIAP (Instituto de Investigación de la Amazonía Peruana) - You will be able to visit with manatees and fresh water dolphins that have been rescued from the Amazon and are being rehabilitated..

Quistococha Zoological Park - This must-see attraction holds a Lagoon with a golden sand beach where you will be able to spot the wild monkeys living in the trees around the lagoon. In the zoo you will find many creatures indigenous to Perú and the Amazon Basin, such as monkeys, snakes, alligators, parrots and tapirs, together with a very well-maintained botanical garden.

Departure from Iquitos City via auto to arrive in the port town of Nauta, after Departing by boat we will travel upriver about 2.5 hours, passing the spectacular meeting of 2 major rivers (Ucayali & Marañon) that come together to form the Amazon River. During the riverboat trip you will have a great possibility of seeing caimans, turtles, herons, pink river dolphins, snakes, and many other species of flora/fauna along the riverbank. Along the way you will also be able to enjoy the sightings of different Indian settlements.

DAY 2: MONKEY ISLAND / DOLPHIN WATCHING / CAIMAN EXCURSION :

Depart Iquitos To Camp - Early morning departure from Iquitos City via auto to arrive in the port town of Nauta, after Departing by boat we will travel upriver about 2.5 hours, passing the spectacular meeting of 2 major rivers (Ucayali & Marañon) that come together to form the Amazon River. During the riverboat trip you will have a great possibility of seeing caimans, turtles, herons, pink river dolphins, snakes, and many other species of flora/fauna along the riverbank. Along the way you will also be able to enjoy the sightings of different Indian settlements.

Monkey Island - a small island about 15 minutes from camp, which shelters a large number of monkeys in their natural habitat. During your visit on the island you will have the unique opportunity to observe and interact with a tremendous variety of monkeys in the natural habitat. Varieties include: Sloth, Goeldi’s monkey, Tamarin monkey, Capuchin monkey, Yellow-Handed Titi monkey, Masked Titi monkey, Cebidae monkey, Wooly monkey, Squirrel monkey, Spider monkey, South American Coati monkey, and many more! Along with the various species of monkeys you will have to opportunity to hold a very large Anaconda and interact with the very unique and rare Amazonian Mata Mata turtle. At Monkey Island we will also see boa constrictor, alligator, turtles, Etc.

Dolphin watching session at the camp where we will have the unique opportunity to see the pink freshwater dolphin, you will also have the chance to swim with them on the main Amazon River.

Dinner will be served in the evening.

After sunset we will go on an excursion via canoe to spot and catch caiman, we will have the opportunity to hold, touch, and take photos with the caiman.

DAY 3: JUNGLE HIKE / PIRANHA FISHING / VISIT WITH LOCALS / AYAHUASCA CEREMONY :

Early morning breakfast will be served followed by a jungle walk where we will have the unique opportunity to see a vast number of monkeys (13 species), birds (449 species), and many other wildlife interact in their natural habitat. We will also see and learn about various types of Amazonian medicinal plants

Piranha fishing excursion via canoe, viewing of Victoria Regia.

Visit with a local native community to learn and observe the local people’s life and customs.

Orientation where we will have the opportunity to meet with the master shaman to discuss the work he will carry out in the evening.

Evening Ayahuasca Ceremony

DAY 4: WILDLIFE SPOTTING / RETURN TO IQUITOS CITY :

Wildlife Spotting - We will begin our day early, waking up in time to see the sunrise over the Amazon River, have breakfast, and leave the camp for 2 hour journey up river to spot wildlife (various species of monkeys, birds, etc.).

Afternoon departure from Maniti Camp with destination to Iquitos City.

Transfer to Airport/Hotel, End of Service.
